Takikomi is a type of Japanese cooking that involves simmering ingredients in a pot of rice. The Mishima Foods Takikomi Mix - Takenoko (prepared bamboo with soy sauce) is a delicious and easy-to-use product that allows you to enjoy the taste of bamboo shoots quickly and easily. The mix is made with soy sauce, so it’s got a great flavor that goes well with just about anything.

Cooking Instructions: Rinse 1 3/4 cup rice thoroughly according to instructions on the package. Mix vegetable packet with uncooked (rinsed) rice. Cook rice according to directions on rice bag. Garnish with thinly sliced cucumber, ginger, shiitake mushrooms and sliced scrambled egg crepes. (Other vegetable toppings may be substituted according to taste). If desired, small pieces of cooked chicken, beer or pork may be added to uncooked rice and mixture.
